I looked at my face, and something was missing. It took me a while to work out what it was. Eyebrows! I hardly had any eyebrows; just thin little wisps, a legacy of being a teenaged David Bowie fan.
I did my research, and one name came coming up again and again, Jemma Jarman.
So, I took myself off to Jemma's bright studio right by Brighton Train station for a free consultation. I came away confident that Jemma would be able to restore my once dark brows. I was terrified that I would end up with thick unnatural caterpillars that looked like someone had drawn them in with a sharpie.
But, no. Jemma is an artist, and created the perfect frame for my eyes, just right. Completely natural looking.

She spent a long time talking to me about different techniques and which one would work best on my skin type, then listened carefully for what I was after, before sketching in my new brows, then tattooing. The process didn't hurt. At the end of the treatment, Gemma gave me very precise after care instructions. I came back for a second time 8 weeks later, and she then darkened and thickened my brows in a second, inclusive session.
All in, I spent over 5 hours with Gemma, so I feel she really earned her money. I would only ever trust her alone to continue to maintain my new and very natural looking brows.
